Creative project with an aim to draw creativity and emotions to technical glass. Collection made of
prefabricated Simax glass with a special glass welding technique. Studio deFORM uses Kavalier’s
most advanced technology to produce new designs. Glass parts are welded together with a use of
heat. The originally individual elements than become one material and one body.
Kavalier has been the leading European producer of borosilicate glass for more than 175 years.
They offer a wide variety of products which span the areas of domestic, industrial, laboratory and
technical glass, pipes and industrial apparatus. Most of Kavalier’s products are being distributed
under brands Simax and Kavalier. Excellent quality is a tradition that Kavalier can be proud of and
they meet or exceed the requirements of the System of Quality Management based on ISO 9001.
Transmission Light Sculpture
Originally designed to represent Kavalier’s know-how and technical possibilities, especially glass
welded connections. Transmission is made of prefabricated glass flasks originally used in chemical
apparatus Spheres are now cut and welded in to a new composition. Transmission offers
unpredictable and surprising lumino kinetic effects from any angle of view.
Is the younger brother of Transmission Light sculpture. Hanging this extraordinary light object from a ceiling creates a new perspective. The excellent quality of borosilicate glass Simax which is
usually used for technical and laboratory products gives special features to the chandelier.
The idea was to create a solid wood desk on invisible but strong base. Air Table is made of thick
technical borosilicate glass pipes and high quality ash wood. Visually light table is connected by
chemical apparatus connections which makes it rigid and stable.
