Ou Pack – Jonas Feliu Rodriguez

Ou pack project by Jonas Feliu Rodriguez was born from the idea of a closer packaging to the consumer, which is not limited to package the product itself: it must project a set of values that have often been forgotten or disused when packaging design: the ritual, the stimulation and pleasure, reconciliation of body and mind, animism and food as primary need. It is a new way to understand the packaging and how it interacts with food and the consumer.

Ephemera III – The destruction of physical typography by Bogidar Mascareñas

Ephemera III – “What has been accumulated will be exhausted” relies on the fact that the enormous amount of elements presented which will be burned. Out of the 4 different posters which made the serie of Ephemera, this one could not be finished. For the process, the designer made a template with the sentence to be placing the 800 incense cones. The result: Police thinking the house was burning!

“What has been gathered will be dispersed” elaborates on the fact that should be formed by a countless element, so these will scatter. Using a laser-cut template with the aim of getting a thicker message, the phrase was destroyed to get by another color pigment and using a dryer for spreading.

Ephemera I – The destruction of physical typography by Bogidar Mascareñas

“What has been built up will collapse” is the first poster of the ephemera collection. In this case the message was made out of jelly, a casting process and the experimentation of the characteristics of the material. Thus, the process starts with the creation of the molds that later on were filled with the jelly and solidified at low temperatures. Finally, the goal of the poster arrived once was exposed: Due to the temperature (20º) the material melt and the poster collapsed.

“Areniscos”, tableware made from sand by Victor Castanera

The Areniscos project is a perfect example of methodology as Victor Castanera embarks on a process of shaping the sand by pouring water. A simple process that creates an organic and somewhat improvised collection of plates, cups and trays that is light and beautiful in form. Areniscos demonstrates an integrated object that speaks to nature and to each one of us.
