C-Fabriek – Dutch Design Week 2012
Published on November 8, 2012
C-Fabriek is a set of 14 Production Lines establishing the New Factory. Each Production Line is an atelier, a factory, a museum and a shop. Within an empty factory in Eindhoven, a collection of young designers are creating their own production lines, machines, tools and products; re-establishing a relationship with their audience. C-fabriek is a place where designers work, create and manufacture, but also, present their processes and methods to the public. By doing so, they are reclaiming control over their creations, and suggesting alternatives to industrialization, production and consumption. During Dutch Design Week 2012, the C-Fabriek exhibited 25 designers with their unique production lines, producing step by step from early phase to end result.
