Noah laptop case by Rainer Spehl

A Case made of Oak, a calf leather inlay, brass hinges and magnets – these are the components of the „wooden case“, a wooden laptop case designed byRainer Spehl. The idea for the Wooden Case arises – as all good inventions – from a personal need. At the end of a world trip Spehl buys a new Apple Laptop. At the time he helps friends who are building a house and makes a box out of wood that he finds on the building site to transport the new laptop in his backpack. The idea including the prototype for the “Wooden Case” is born. Back in Berlin he refines his Design to unite function and style. Spehl uses solid oak and oak veneered plywood in combination with dark tan calf leather, which protects the laptop inside the wooden box. The wood is hand oiled, special hard oil protects it against dirt and moisture. Two magnets are serving as closing device, an elegant and practical solution. The “Wooden Case” is hand made in Berlin.
