Basically Caprolactone thermoplastics are long chain polymers that can be formed and molded when heated. The good thing about these polymer is that it only takes 60oC to melt the materials making them very good for modelling and sculpting using hot water or a hand held heat gun.

16th Creative Marathon at ELISAVA

The Creative Marathon comes back to ELISAVA in its 16th edition burden with contents and activities. Rietveld’s Zig Zag Chair’s Manufacturing by Cassina

The Zig Zag-chair is a chair designed by Gerrit Rietveld in 1934. It is a minimalistic design without legs, made by 4 flat wooden tiles that are merged in a Z-shape using Dovetail joints. It was designed for Rietveld’s Rietveld Schröder House in Utrecht and is now produced by the Italian manufacturer Cassina.
