Everyone knows how to use a pen, so we designed a 3D printing pen! If you can scribble, trace or wave a finger in the air you can use a 3Doodler. As you draw, plastic comes out of the pen, is cooled by an integrated fan, and solidifies right in front of you. You can draw on any surface and lift it up into the air to create your own 3D objects.
Each asset starts with a real-life loaf/roll/bagel which he scans using his Ipad and Autodesk 123D Catch. The free app can build faithful and fully textured 3D models from a set of photos.

The intention behind this chair, was more an inspirational, for now. It plays with the decorative aspect of a chesterfield upholstery and computer typical polygon surfaces. For L’Artisan Electronique, Unfold created -aside from the ceramic printer- a virtual pottery wheel in collaboration with Tim Knapen. This pottery wheel gives visitors a chance to ‘turn’ their own forms. At regular intervals, a selection of these designs is printed in clay and exhibited in the space.
Miller Sayl Chair, designed by Yves Béhar, is to maximize comfort while minimizing materials. For inspiration, Béhar looked to the suspension bridges of San Francisco. It took Béhar and Herman Miller two and a half years to perfect the chair, which employs a novel “3D Intelligent Suspension Back” instead of a traditional frame.
