A boxy contemporary on the sloping streets of San Francisco’s Cow Hollow neighborhood, reveals his wide-ranging interests and his knack for imbuing everyday items and spaces with beauty and utility in equal measure.
The result is a new home for 600 employees in a former jeans factory in Madrid where Studio Banana designed the architectural layout, detailed fitout and execution, furnishings, wayfinding and acted as strategic consultant to optimize facility management and organization and to provide a change-enabling environment.
This Camper shop in Barcelona it has been done by a group of six “ex homeless” people from Arrels Fundació, institution that helps homeless people. Before that job, they already did some work together with “la pieza” project, making some furniture reusing found pieces of wood collected from the street.
