Elliot and Yves took the two most traditional and time-honoured animation processes – stop-motion and traditional hand-drawn 2D animation – and combined them to create something innovative and unique. Their aim was to do almost everything in camera, using real lighting, lens and film craft to build a world where the audience can see and feel the painstaking work behind it. The 2D animation’s physical interaction with the set and the human imperfections inherent in the process create a hand-crafted piece full of heart and integrity.
In the summer 2011 ILP was awarded a massive sequence for the upcoming Norwegian feature film “Kon-Tiki” directed by Joachim Roenning and Espen Sandberg. The film is about the legendary explorer Thor Heyerdal’s epic journey crossing the Pacific on a balsa wood raft in 1947.

Blinkink and Blinkart collaborate on a stunning paper stop motion film for Peugeot. Blinkink director Joseph Mann has teamed up with Blinkart designer extraordinaire Kyle Bean to create a stunning stop motion paper world for Euro RSCG and Peugeot. Mann and Bean, along with their team of paper artists, created everything in the 30″ film, including hundreds of individual spanners and bollards, over a period of 4 weeks entirely bespoke. Enjoy!
