Teixidors, since 1983

On their traditional wooden looms, they create unique pieces using the highest quality raw materials, such as wool, cashmere, linen, silk and yak. Manual looms enable them to create deliciously imperfect borders on their pieces. A wool blanket becomes a work of art full of nuances, reflecting the individuality of each weaver.
Teixidors products – scarves, shawls, blankets, cushion covers, bedspreads, and more – don’t require sophisticated finishing processes. Because they use quality materials, they simply determine the right combination of ecological soap, temperature and washing time, and the natural properties of the cloth are revealed.
They create unique, unrepeatable products made with highest quality materials that always follow an entirely manual process. Their project is not a romantic utopia; it’s a work philosophy with a focus on singularity, on the beauty of unique items.
Teixidors drinks from the fountain of artisan work, tools, processes and attitude. They use classic wool looms, they thread the best raw materials (Merino wool, cashmere, linen…) and they follow a strictly manual process. This is the core of their work, a recipe that combines tradition with a vision of the future.
Sustainability is more than just an environmental concern; it’s a global concept that encompasses social issues like equal integration and focuses on responsible consumerism. Since its foundation in 1983, Teixidors has been a cooperative with social vocation, which has as a final objective the social integration, and economic independence of people with learning difficulties. This objective, always the priority is carried out through extraordinarily creative work on manual looms. This special project generates, as cannot be otherwise, unique products. Sustainability is a global concept that has to incorporate environmental and social parameters. The integration of people at risk of social exclusion and the commitment to responsible consumption form part of the sustainability of Teixidors.
Their products are designed to be timeless. Handcrafted work and respect for materials form the springboard of our creations: two ideas that will never lose their value. They also go a step further and actively participate in initiatives that strive to achieve a better future from an environmental or social perspective.
A story full of authenticity narrated by Manu and Corine, a couple of sheepfarmers, passionated about their work, who have improved their merino sheep to obtain a high quality wool, probably the finest in Europe. Teixidors strives to achieve the traceability of all the materials they work with the aim of providing authenticity and coherence in their weaves.
