Upgrade, exploring the traditional techniques usually used for crystal glass
Published on March 4, 2016
Developed at ECAL, this project explore the traditional techniques usually used for crystal glass like cutting, engraving, gilding. Tomas applies them on existing industrial glass packaging such as milk bottles or jars for tomato sauce.
By this graphical “upgrade” he joins together the industrial and the craft. Tomas simply started by applying very traditional decorations that were later replaced by his personal “upgrades” inspired by the paper labels that take part of this everyday objects and identify the product inside the bottle.
